St. James Immigrant Assistance Founded in 1975 with one tutor and five Vietnamese students. Each year, over 100 volunteers helped over 300 refugees and immigrants. St.

James Immigrant Assistance is a 501(c)(3), non-sectarian, volunteer-based program of St. James Cathedral that provides free English instruction, immigrant legal services, Elder support groups, and citizenship preparation to low-income, adult refugees and immigrants in Seattle and King County, Washington.
