Nonprofit Leader.org

Nonprofit Leader.org Nonprofit Leader.org builds community and capacity for nonprofit leaders, social entrepreneurs and their respective organizations.

Nonprofit Leader.org envisions being Seattle's first truly collaborative shared office space strictly for nonprofit and social purpose organizations. In addition to our shared office, we offer shared services and resources so that we can all focus our efforts on what really matters... our missions. Our strategic plan has three phases:
1: Coworking office w/ shared resources;
2: Shared staff/servi

ces;
3: Incubator/accelerator for small start-up nonprofits. Currently in our first phase, we offer a beautiful shared office in South Lake Union (right next to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation), complete with private offices, fixed desks, flex desks, a conference room, lounge area and shared office amenities (WiFi, copying/printing, water/coffee/tea). This space is for nonprofit and social purpose organizations or anyone trying to change the world! Members will enjoy below market rates in a central location (South Lake Union); collaboration with like minded professionals; shared amenities; pooled resources; knowledge sharing; networking; and mentorship from experienced nonprofit leaders. Together, we can create a community that inspires, motivates and builds capacity to further our missions! Coworking office rates range from $15/day - $250/mo. One private office for up to six people is available at $1,000/mo.

Nonprofitleader has been working on an exciting project for the last month that we are happy to share with you.

We are now offering social media services to non-profits, in which our volunteers and interns will manage your social media accounts, that will in turn yield more exposure with a wider audience as well as keep your social media (blogs, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Vine) accounts active to further connect with your community by keeping them up-to-date on your activities.

We currently have one client and are looking to expand and grow by adding others. If interested, contact Mikel Samaniego at [email protected]

Amidst the exciting events happening within Nonprofitleader.org such as our recent Saints and Sinners get-together and vigorous recruitment for top-notch talent, the transition into spring has raised several questions among us.

One question that arises is how does spring impact that efforts nonprofits make within their communities? Another considers how much reflection within nonprofits occur during each season and most importantly, does each passing season bring about new more pressing issues?

As the weather warms up next week, we would like for our supporters to leave a comment under this post with suggestions as to how Nonprofitleader.org can utilize the above questions to further better the organization.

Until next time,

Stay productive!

We would like to welcome our newest members.

Mission

Northwest Natural Resource Group exists because healthy working forests are essential to our world. Our mission is to use the marketplace to restore forests and local economies
Approach

We are dedicated to promoting a sustainable, environmentally-sound economy in the forestlands of the Pacific Northwest. We focus on the smaller woodlands owned and managed by private landowners, smaller forest product companies, governmental agencies, and non-profit organizations.

What we do

Our primary tool to accomplish our mission is Northwest Certified Forestry (NCF), a membership program for public, non-profit, and family forest landowners that provides access to Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification, as well as forest management assistance, connections landowner incentives programs, marketing, and educational workshops. We currently have more than 160 members across more than 160,000 acres in Oregon and Washington.

Go here for a list of our FSC-certified landowner members.
In addition to NCF, NNRG launched its Watershed Innovations program in 2009. The program focuses on ecosystem service-based incentives for forestland owners and includes a forest carbon offset protocol called Northwest Neutral, which was developed to provide access to emerging carbon markets for small woodland owners
