Since 2002 the Seattle Police Foundation (SPF) has championed public safety in Seattle. The foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization committed to supporting and strengthening the work of the Seattle Police Department (SPD) through philanthropy, advocacy, and building strong community partnerships.

• Mission: To raise support and awareness for the Seattle Police Department.
• Vision:

To promote public safety by supporting and providing resources for the professional development of Seattle Police Department employees and creating partnerships that foster community participation in enhancing the safety of Seattle. Consistent with its mission and bylaws, the Foundation supports the Seattle Police Department by providing supplemental funding to advance the mission and goals of the Department. In addition, the foundation provides funding to officers and civilian staff through program grants that emphasize community building, crime prevention, officer wellness, and support to children and families in need. The Seattle Police Foundation (SPF) was founded to help the Seattle Police Department cultivate meaningful relationships with the community, improve employee development, and help provide the latest in equipment and technology to ensure officer safety and enhance the service they provide to our community every day. We're excited to welcome this year's Celebrity Waiters Luncheon emcee, Sabirah Rayford.

Sabirah is an EMMY-nominated journalist and co-anchor of Seattle News Tonight, as well as the primary anchor of Washington News Wrap. She is also the creator and host of For the Girls: Women on the Rise, an EMMY-nominated series that highlights women making an impact across industries.

Through her work, Sabirah has covered important issues while also creating space to uplift others.

We're honored to have her emcee this year's Celebrity Waiters Luncheon and helping bring the Crimes of Fashion theme to life.

The Fallen Officer Memorial Project honors the lives and service of Seattle Police officers who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Established in 2022 and funded by the Seattle Police Foundation, this project ensures each officer is remembered with dignity and care. Through the installation of granite mourning badges at meaningful locations, these memorials create space for reflection, remembrance, and gratitude.

Each memorial stands as a lasting tribute, not only to those we have lost, but to the impact they made on this community and the legacy they leave behind.

This is one way we continue to honor their service and ensure they are never forgotten.

Next month, we will gather to honor another fallen officer. More details to come as we continue this important work. 💙
