*Hygiene Center Program provides 40-60 homeless neighbors with a place to do laundry, shower, have a meal and rest each day.

*Food Bank serves nearly 400 members of our community who

need help keeping food in their cupboards.

*Community Lunch provides 150-200 people a warm meal the last Sunday of the Month.

*ICS also provides a safe and supportive living environment for adult men through its Recovery Program Shelter.

Our good friend Sage stopped by today with the very first harvest of the Community Garden. We are so grateful to her and everyone who helps bring fresh produce to the food bank. Today we distributed lettuce and fava beans that were harvested THIS morning!! Delightful!!

ICS serves over 32,000 meals a year....at our Community Lunch, at the Recovery Shelter and at Dave's Day Center ...where many of our guests report that the meal they receive at ICS is the only meal they eat all day!!

ICS serves over 32,000 meals a year but that's only possible because of the amazing community that comes together to help. As the grandmother of our Executive Director, Shawna, always said, "many hands make light work!"

COOK/SERVE LUNCH IN DAVE'S DAY CENTER
We are looking for volunteers (individuals, groups, families, etc.) to cook and serve lunch for the Hygiene Center, weekdays. For many, lunch at the hygiene center is the only meal they will eat that day. Time commitment about 3 hours, usually 10am - 1pm.

GROCERY RESCUE/HOME DELIVERY DRIVERS, THURSDAYS
Each Thursday we pick up food donations from a couple of grocery stores which will be used to stock our food bank, providing nutritious food for any who need it. We are looking for drivers Thursday, 8 am - 10am for pickups and 12 pm-1 pm for home deliveries.

FOOD BANK VOLUNTEERS, MONDAYS
We have shifted the way that we distribute our food at the South Lake Union Food Bank to keep our shoppers safe and need more hands. Monday, 8:30 am - 1pm.

Did you know we serve about 8,000 people a year at the SLU Food Bank, many of whom do not speak English as their first language?

We do our best for everyone to feel welcome and included. This means making sure signs and forms are available in all languages, or like the meat sign in the following pictures, are visual so shoppers can easily communicate with us which food they would like choose.

Immanuel Community Services is seeking a Food Services Manager!

We are looking for a dedicated and community‑minded leader to join the ICS team helping strengthen food access in the South Lake Union neighborhood and address food insecurity. This role oversees the SLU Food Bank at ICS and coordinates our Grocery Rescue, Home Delivery and Meal Programs, ensuring consistent, safe and equitable access to food across all ICS programs.

We welcome applicants who are organized, collaborative and passionate about supporting neighbors with dignity and care. If this sounds like you — or someone you know — we’d love to hear from you!

Dave's Day Center is open today until 2pm, providing a warm dry place, hot lunch, hot coffee, showers and laundry.
