Our SEAPAL youth proudly represented Seattle at the National Police Athletic/Activity Leage (NPAL) Youth Summit in Washington DC!
While there, they explored some of our nation’s most iconic landmarks, including the Lincoln Memorial, the U.S. Capitol, and the interactive Planet Word Museum.
They also gave a powerful presentation on youth gun violence, sharing their voices and ideas for creating a safer community.
We are incredibly proud of their leadership, courage, and commitment to making a difference. Way to go, SEAPAL! 💙 🖤

The Southwest Precinct Officers Welcome the Seafair Clowns

Yesterday, the Southwest Precinct Officers were treated to an incredible steak dinner with all the fixings during shift change, thanks to the amazing Seafair Clowns. Their generosity and support meant a great deal to our officers.
Special thanks to Capt. Krista Bair, Lt. Wes Collier, Det. Brian Pritchard, and Henry Liu for helping make this appreciation dinner happen.

We also want to recognize the outstanding team who donated their time and talents: Celebrity Chef Misty Banchero of The Seattle Butcher’s Wife, Lily Banchero, Tannée Heinen, Martin Patricelli, Tag & Virginia Gleason, and Mondo Meats.

SPD Chief's Award Recipient: Jasmine Conway

On July 21, the Seattle Police Department (SPD) recognized Jasmine Conway with the Chief’s Award for exceptional service and dedication to our Seattle community and SPD team. Ms. Conway is a respected community advocate, researcher, consultant, and leader whose work has significantly advanced Seattle's response to survivors of commercial s*xual exploitation. A survivor of s*x trafficking herself, Ms. Conway has dedicated her life to helping others.

We are grateful for Ms. Conway’s leadership, her partnership with the Seattle Police Department, and her commitment to serving survivors with compassion, understanding, and professionalism.
