As a Redmond City Councilmember focused on affordability, environmental resiliency, and education for all, Jessica has proven she’s a fighter for workers, unions, and small businesses, not giant corporations and the super-rich. We deserve leaders who listen to us, not to the highest bidder. Vote Jessica Forsythe!

It’s canvass season! We’re knocking doors with our endorsed candidates in Washington’s 37th legislative district! It’s 3 weeks out from the primary, so help us get the word out to our neighbors about these incredible working peoples’ champions!

Kelabe Tewolde (LD37 - House Seat 1) is a child of refugees who advocates to stop redlining and environmental racism on the Seattle Planning Commission and an educator who mentors and uplifts youth of color with Rainier Scholars, and is challenging a 27-year-incumbent who has voted to increase rents and lower taxes on corporations. Kelabe, in contrast, is by community and for community.

Jaelynn Scott (LD37 - House Seat 2) is a Black trans activist and proud socialist who serves as Executive Director of the Lavender Rights Project, a national black trans feminist advocacy organization advancing justice for gender diverse communities. She has spent years working in community, organizing, responding to crisis calls, helping people find sanctuary, and trying to help folks navigate the confusing, frustrating, broken system of social services.

WA-07 is lucky to have one of the country’s most progressive legislators as our US Representative and as one of our foremost organizers and coalition-builders. Through her long history with local community organizations and her development of Resistance Labs to train organizers around the country, and through her policy work on the Trans Bill of Rights, Medicare and College for All, and the Inflation Reduction Act to cap prescription drug prices, Congresswoman Jayapal ensures that we have an advocate whose vision matches what our country desperately needs.

Pramila is a champion for all of US, not for billionaires and corporations, and we’re so proud to endorse her.

The interviews are hosted by WA Working Families Party in collaboration with Progreso, OneAmerica Votes, Tech for Housing, the Washington Bus, and House Our Neighbors.

We want YOUR help evaluating these candidates. Will they fight to ensure everyone can afford the lives we deserve? Will they ensure billionaires and giant corporations pay what they owe? Let’s find out together!
