EPA has made quick progress to safely remove household hazardous materials from burned properties. Removing these hazardous materials supports safer recovery and rebuilding for the community in the aftermath of the fires.
We have been able to make this progress thanks to our collaboration with our partner agencies in Spokane and at the State of Washington, and we anticipate completing our work safely and efficiently within 60 days.
