Seattle Food Committee is a coalition of member food banks working cooperatively to make the most of every resource available. Members support each other to ensure the community as a whole is as strong as possible. The Seattle Food Committee works closely with food distributors Food Lifeline and Northwest Harvest, the City of Seattle, and other community service providers to coordinate emergency f

ood assistance. Food System Support, a program of Solid Ground, provides technical assistance and administrative services to the Seattle Food Committee. Food System Support’s staff deliver food to member food banks, develop resources, keep members current on food-related issues and provide assistance with the day-to-day operations of running a food bank.

The Seattle Food Committee Conference: Work in Progress is just 1 day away!

This virtual conference will be held on Thursday, November 10th, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM, and will consist of a series of panels discussing Local Economy, Home Delivery, and Staff Retention. The full schedule, with descriptions and a list of panelists, can be found below. This event is free, and open to all. If you’re interested in attending, please register If you’re interested in only one panel, or your schedule will only allow you to attend a portion of the conference, you’re welcome to sign up and attend the conference as you’re able to.
