Today is the final day of the Nourish the American Dream campaign, and we have just hours left to reach our goal of $20,000. While this campaign ends at 11:59 p.m. tonight, hunger doesn't. Tomorrow, and every day thereafter, too many children in Washington will continue to live with families that struggle to put enough food on the table.

Today, many of us will gather with family and friends to celebrate our nation's 250th birthday. We'll enjoy backyard barbecues, picnics, and fireworks. But for far too many children in Washington, the holiday is just another day of wondering where their next meal will come from.

One in six children in Washington lives with a family that struggles to put food on the table.

That's why Harvest Against Hunger is proud to join Nourish the American Dream, a nationwide campaign of the Albertsons Companies and Safeway Nourishing Neighbors program. More than 250 hunger relief organizations have come together to ensure every child has access to the nutritious food they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, participating organizations hope to raise $5 million. Our goal is to raise $20,000 to strengthen our work here at home.

From July 1-7, every gift to Harvest Against Hunger will help provide fresh, healthy food to children and families in need across Washington.

Something big is coming! From July 1–7, Harvest Against Hunger is joining Nourish the American Dream, a national movement with Albertsons Companies and Safeway that brings nonprofits across the country together for a shared goal: to help end childhood hunger and nourish every child’s potential.

Every dollar we raise supports Harvest Against Hunger and our mission to provide healthy produce to people in need in the state of Washington. Together with participating organizations, we’re working toward a collective goal of $5 million to help more children and families access the healthy food they need to thrive. Harvest Against Hunger’s goal is $20,000.

Because the American Dream starts with a full plate. Stay tuned to get involved.

Cheers to another year of Hearts and Wine! We're grateful to all our attendees for making the night special. We're happy to announce that we raised $328,000 to provide healthy produce to communities across Washington!

A big thank you to the fantastic MC Jenn Gladish and auctioneer for keeping the energy high all evening.
