June 3 is National Trails Day! Thank you to these awesome volunteers who made some fixes on the Lower Springboard Trail at Lord Hill Regional Park this week. They patched up a berm and filled in some potholes so it's ready for you this summer season! Grace and I made it up for one last ski. We did a little downhill and a little bit of cross country. The mountain sure was pretty.

The Vigor shipyards habitat restoration project opened today. Thanks to Floyd Snyder for including us on the team and all the great collaboration with other team members. The Pocket Estuary will provide excellent rearing habitat for juvenile salmon. The habitat types included included, both upland riparian and high and low brackish marsh plantings. The baby salmon are ready to move in right away!

We have been proud to work with The City of Kenmore, design team, and the community on ƛ'ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh-ah-dees) Park and are excited for the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 6, at 10:00.

Sharing from City of Kenmore - ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh-ah-dees) Park reopened to the public on April 7 and will host a public ribbon cutting ceremony on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at 10 a.m.

the Kenmore City Council approved a name change from Squire’s Landing Park to ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl’ awh-ah-dees) Park, the name of the Lushootseed village previously located in or near present-day downtown Kenmore. ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis translates to “a place where something is grown or sprouts” and honors the Coast Salish People who originally inhabited the area and the many Indigenous Peoples who still reside here.
