As part of our Family Fun Day on May 30, 2026, Indian River Aquatics in collaboration with Ocean Rescue, hosted a free Rip Current Safety class for approximately 30 children ages 6 to 16.

Thanks to a grant from the Florida Department of Children and Families , we were able to purchase and use our rip current simulator for this program. Participants learned how to recognize rip currents, understand how they form, and practice safe escape techniques through hands-on pool simulations.

The class was a great success, helping build confidence and valuable water safety skills in a fun and engaging environment.
