Today, volunteers came together at Riverview Park to help restore and protect the Indian River Lagoon through another successful shoreline restoration project.🌿🌊

A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who spent their morning building breakwaters, planting native vegetation, and helping strengthen this living shoreline. Your hard work and dedication are making a lasting impact on the health of our lagoon and the wildlife that depends on it.

We are incredibly grateful to the Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) for leading this important effort and for their continued commitment to restoring our local waterways. We also extend our sincere thanks to the Coastal Conservation Association Florida (CCA Florida) for their support in making this phase of the project possible.

Together, we are creating a healthier, more resilient shoreline for future generations. Thank you to everyone who played a part in today’s restoration effort!💙💚

Got ink?🫟

The Natural Resources Board is proud to support The Recycling Club’s Ink Cartridge Recycling Program. A collection box is now located in the City Hall lobby, where you can drop off ink and toner cartridges you no longer need. Your donations help support The Recycling Club’s School Supplies Program, which provides reams of paper to North Indian River County schools.

✅What we can collect: Empty and new ink and toner cartridges
❌What we cannot collect: Toner waste cartridges
