Who else is excited for tomorrow’s Halloween event?👻

Our Halloween Costume Contest is tomorrow, Friday, October 23, in Riverview Park! Here are some friendly reminders before you head out.

Schedule:
🎃 Costume contest registration begins at 5:30 p.m.
🍬 Trunk or Treat begins at 5:30 p.m.
👻 Costume contest begins at 6:15 p.m.
🎬 Movie night begins at 7:15 p.m. Sebastian Police Department showing Hocus Pocus 2

We will have food and drink vendors, trunk-or-treat hosted by the Treasure Coast Jeep Club, and music by DJ-shhh-op! The costume contest will feature five age groups for children up to 12 years old, with prizes up for grabs.

🚧Main Street Boat Ramp Closure Update🚧

Due to poor weather conditions and a necessary change in the dewatering process, the Main Street Boat Ramp closure has been extended through Saturday, November 7th.

We apologize for the extended closure and understand the inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your patience as we work to improve the boat ramp.

The Yacht Club Boat Ramp remains open and operational and is available as an alternative during this time.

🇺🇸❤️The City of Sebastian is proud to participate in Red Fridays, a simple but meaningful way to show support for the brave men and women currently serving our country away from home.

We invite our residents, businesses, and community organizations to wear red on Fridays as a visible reminder that we remember, appreciate, and support our deployed service members.

Proceeds from the shirt sales will be donated to a nonprofit veterans organization dedicated to serving those who have sacrificed for our nation.

Do you have questions about veterans’ services or resources available in Indian River County? Join us for a Veteran Town Hall on Wednesday, November 4, hosted in partnership by United Way of Indian River County, and Indian River County Community Services with guest speakers from the VNA & Hospice Foundation.

Representatives from the Thomas A. Cory West Palm Beach VA will be there to answer questions and help connect veterans with information and support.

All veterans and community members are welcome.

The City of Sebastian has contracted with Asphalt Paving Systems, Inc. to complete roadway milling and paving. Work is scheduled by week, weather permitting, and dates are subject to change.

⚠️ Important Reminders for Residents:
• Remove all vehicles, boats, trailers, debris, and other items from the roadway between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on your scheduled paving day.
• Travel slowly, as milling may create elevation drops of up to 2 inches before new asphalt is applied.
• Expect temporary traffic delays, limited road access, and possible driveway restrictions during work hours. Access will be coordinated by on-site workers and traffic directors.
• Full road access is expected during non-working hours.

Early voting for the November 3 General Election begins today, October 19! Sebastian City Hall Council Chambers is one of four convenient early voting locations in Indian River County.

⏰Regular Hours: 8 a.m.–4 p.m.

⏰Extended Hours: Thursday, October 22, and Thursday, October 29, from 8 a.m.–6 p.m.
