Great guy, they would appreciate any support!

Due to sudden illness, the Minerva Fire Department, the Minerva Firefighters Association and Minerva Youth Football will be hosting a benefit breakfast in honor of retired Captain Ryan "Smitty" Smith and the Smith Family.

Smitty spent many years selflessly serving his community. We are now coming together to support him and his family, with all proceeds going directly to the Smith family during this difficult time.

Busy Week for Sebring Fire

Sebring Fire has had a busy week serving our community.

During the wind storms on Friday, our department handled over 20 wires down calls in just two hours. Nine firefighters responded from home to help manage the incidents and keep our residents safe.

Today, we also responded on mutual aid with Damascus Fire Department for a field fire, with seven of our members responding on auto aid to assist.

🚨 Reminder: There is currently a burn ban in effect for the entire State of Ohio. Please do not burn until the ban is lifted.

We would like to congratulate Ronald McDonald on his well-earned retirement after an incredible 38 years of service.

That kind of dedication, loyalty, and commitment is rare these days. Nearly four decades of hard work, early mornings, long days, and countless contributions have made a lasting impact on everyone around you. The time, effort, and heart you’ve given does not go unnoticed.

Thank you for everything you’ve done and for the example you’ve set. (Hopefully the festival fries recipe you left us is correct!!!)

Congratulations, Lieutenant McDonald — you will be missed!
