The organizers of this event have opened the meeting room to all. Get out there and make your voices heard! Ask questions of the candidates on the important issues! Make sure they stand with the right side of history and our community including the marginalized among us. Don't let one side of the aisle dominate the meeting.

Eight years ago, I held the first of three vigils that were held in Highlands County for the victims of Pulse. That ignited the fire for community activism in me, I knew in those dark moments that followed the heinous massacre, that I could no longer stand on the sidelines and let others do the work for me, I was being called forward to pick up my sword. Today we remember them and celebrate their gifts and collectively mourn with their families and their friends. We work for a better world where a tragedy like Pulse, where 49 angels lost their lives, will never happen again.

I just want to take a moment to thank my team Coralise Marie Jacob Cuadrado Tiffany Nier CadzowAngela Wittwer Shupe Maria SnelgroveEli AcevedoJoey Acevedo George Miller Trish Yancey. Together we completed an amazing feat that has never been done before in Highlands County. We held 9 separate pride events in 8 days. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to lead our team to success. Thank you to our amazing vendors and donors for allowing us to hold a successful PrideFest for you all. Without them none of what we do would be possible. I'd also like to thank all those who were able to come and enjoy the pride events. I hope everyone was able to find something that they enjoyed. I love you all rainbow fam. Make sure you support the venues that hosted us this week: Emmanuel United Church of Christ, Sebring, Unity of Sebring, The Backyard at Faded, Mon Cirque Wine Bar, Morty & Edna's, GNr Entertainment, J & B Entertainment, Munch House Music and last but not least Dive In Florida Eatery, show these folks some love and remember to thank them. They need our patronage all year round not just in June. And a special thanks to my husband Jacob Cuadrado who shared me with the community this week, so that I could put on this amazing event that has come to fruition and is known as PrideFest! Happy Pride Everyone! I am now going to enjoy a much-deserved rest and a cold drink now that my heart is happy and full at all your smiles!!

To those who are attending the Sebring City Council Meeting Tomorrow,

Please remember to wear purple to show solidarity. But most importantly remember to remain calm, cool, and collected. The Christian Love Brigade would love nothing more than for us to argue with them. We will not take the bait. My team and I will be reporting on the success we've had thus far in getting everything into position for PrideFest 2023. This is going to be the best event yet! Lets not let the haters tarnish that, I don't want them to get the satisfaction.

This is disgusting. Florida do better. Nikita has legally transitioned which means in the eyes of the law she's female. She should not be in a men's prison which puts her at risk of bodily harm.
