Women are less likely to receive bystander CPR due to fear, myths and misconceptions. We must do more to save women's lives.

Be ready to perform Hands-Only CPR whenever you see a teen or adult suddenly collapse, even if they are a woman. There are just two steps:

1. Call 911.
2. Push hard and fast on the center of the chest at a rate of 100-120 compressions per-minute until help arrives.

Don't be fooled.

Many women think the signs of a heart attack 💔 are unmistakable, but that may not be the case for everyone. Many signs are not obvious and might be confusing, leading women to think their heart attack is acid reflux, the flu or normal aging.

The best way to know if what you're experiencing is a heart attack is to be seen by a medical professional. If you have any of these signs, call 911, and get to a hospital 🚨 right away.

Learn the two simple steps of Hands-Only CPR and be ready in an emergency. About 70 percent of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen in homes, so the life you save could be someone you love.

If you see a teen or adult collapse, call 911 and push hard and fast in the center of the chest until help arrives.
