This application would be for your 2026 property tax payments, as partial payments are not allowed on prior year property taxes. The 2025 Property Tax Reminder Bills have been mailed. If multiple years of taxes are due, the details will be listed in the middle section of the bill. February 24th was the cutoff, if you paid your taxes after that date, you would receive a reminder bill. You can verify proof of payment by visiting our website linked below.

𝐄𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟔𝐭𝐡, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, FLHSMV has directed that all driver license knowledge and driving exams administered in the State of Florida will be offered exclusively in English.

The Highlands County Tax Collector's Office serves as an agent of FLHSMV in delivering motor vehicle and driver license services, including the administration of knowledge and driving examinations. As FLHSMV agents, we do not establish testing language requirements and must administer written and driving examinations in accordance with policies and directives issued by FLHSMV.

Customers seeking additional information or wishing to share concerns regarding this statewide policy are encouraged to contact FLHSMV directly. More information regarding testing requirements can be found by visiting FLHSMV website at flhsmv.gov.
