This picture reminds of us that grim day for those that went in to be a rescuer and never returned home.

Today, we pause to honor and remember those from 9/11. Those that survived, those still suffering and those that succumbed to the events of that terrible day.

We will never forget! 🇺🇸🚒

Last night at training, we trained on drafting operations. We used multiple drop tanks to supply the ladder truck with 1000 gallons of water per minute while maintaining flow.

This training is necessary because most of the areas we serve, do not have hydrants. We have to shuttle water and dump in the drop tanks for water supply.

Pettis County Fire would like to recognize Firefighter Thomas Gardner for participating in the 9/11 stair climb in Kansas City today. Thomas also participated in Columbia on June 27th for a 9/11 Memorial climb as well.

He joined with 10 members of the Sedalia Fire Department today to climb 110 stories to represent the 343 Firefighters who lost their lives on 9/11/01.

We are proud of all who participated to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
