Jackson 105 would like to congratulate Firefighter Tiernan Fackler on his promotion from Volunteer. Firefighter Fackler attended academy through Jackson last year. He says “engaging with the community when they are in need and being able to provide a helping hand” has been the best part of his career in the Fire Service so far. When he’s not helping our community, Fackler enjoys rock climbing, kayaking, skiing/snowboarding, really anything outdoors. We appreciate everything Fackler has done for us & look forward to having him as a part of our Jackson family!🚨🔥

🪵New Slash Location🪵

Sedalia now has its very own slash location opening April 3rd! For the first few weeks, 5675 Delva Way will be open from 7am to 5pm Saturday & Sunday then will resume the usual Saturday only schedule. Please click the attached link below for additional information. This is an excellent resource to get rid of any pine needles, leaves, and branches. We’re all a little nervous about what these temps mean for fire weather this summer, let’s be proactive in our community and eliminate as much fuel around our homes as we can.

🔥 Training Spotlight: Primary Search 🔥

Today, your Jackson 105 firefighters trained on primary search—the steps we take to quickly find and help people inside a building during an emergency. This type of training focuses on speed, communication, and teamwork so that when you call for help, we’re ready to act immediately.

Every drill we run is about keeping you, your family, and your loved ones safe. This newly acquired space allows us to continue training for real life scenarios so that we can better serve all of you. Thank you to our community for opportunities like this and the never ending support. We’re proud to serve this community and grateful for the trust you place in us every day.

Jackson 105 is the proud recipient of a DFPC Safety and Disease Prevention grant. With this award we have purchased an extractor unit to clean our firefighting gear. Modern fires are full of harmful chemicals, many of which have been linked to cause cancer. With this new addition Jackson 105 will be able to take preventive measures cleaning our firefighters PPE after every event and training as well as bi-annual cleaning. We want all of our members to have long and healthy careers and to reduce the risk of cancer.

🚨 Louviers Wildfire🚨

Over the weekend, our community faced a fast-moving wildfire near Louviers that brought uncertainty and fear to many of our neighbors. Thanks to the incredible efforts of local fire crews and emergency responders, the fire was fully contained before any structures were damaged.

🔥 Remember: Fire season is far from over. Stay alert, follow fire restrictions, and be ready to evacuate if needed. Let’s keep each other safe.

Jackson 105 is currently engaged with South Metro and West Douglas on a fire just north of Sedalia. The fire is burning along the railroad with evacuation notices and properties threatened.

Jackson 105 recently obtained some new Paratech high-pressure lifting bags, a vital tool in technical rescue operations. These powerful, compact airbags can lift tens of thousands of pounds, making them essential for:
