The Commission has made the decision to close the County of Pettis Courthouse for Friday, February 18th, 2022 due to poor road conditions. The 18th Judicial Courts will also be closed. Please note: The Courthouse will be closed Monday, February 21st in observance of Presidents day.

Memorial Day is a federal holiday in the United States for honoring and mourning the military personnel who had died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. The Assessor's Office will be closed Monday, May 25th to honor these men and women. We will reopen Tuesday, May 26th at 8 am.

Make sure to get your assessment list in before this Friday! If received on or after May 1st, a penalty will be added.

Our office is still open for you to bring it in. You can also drop it in the black mailbox by the county official parking lot in the northeast quadrant of the courthouse square.

Please be advised that the Assessor’s Office is following the advice of the Center for Disease Control and the Pettis County Health Center regarding COVID-19.

We are committed to providing the best service we can to our citizens. We have adjusted our staff scheduling and are working on minimal staff until further notice. At this moment, we are still open from 8 am to 5 pm.

We are sanitizing regularly throughout the day to reduce the spread of the Coronavirus.

Please be patient with the staff as we work through this time.

March 1st is approaching quickly. Have you gotten your assessment sheet filled out and returned to our office? If you have not received one and believe you should have, please call us at 826-5000 ext 920.

You can also file online. The website and your unique pin is printed on the assessment sheet that was mailed to you in January.

2020 Assessment lists have been mailed. If you do not receive one within the next week and believe you should, please contact our office at (660) 826-5000 ext 920.

There is an online filing option. You can visit https://pettis.missouriassessors.com/ and e-file your return. You will need the Online PIN from the mailed form to complete the online filing.

If your physical location has changed, please make note in the appropriate field. This makes sure the correct taxing entities/districts are entered for your location.
