Last week, we held our annual EMS Week giveaway. Although we may be a little behind on sharing our thanks, the support we received from our local community — and even businesses from out of state — was truly incredible. The appreciation shown for first responders did not go unnoticed, and we are so grateful for everyone who helped make the week special.

Today, we would like to recognize one of our generous donors, Ladder Company Leather. This small, family-owned business in Georgia creates custom handcrafted radio straps and helmets for both EMS and the fire service. Even cooler, the owner, Alex, is a former Sedalia firefighter — proof that it really is a small world.

Thank you, Ladder Company Leather, for your generous donation of a handmade leather radio strap and for supporting Pettis County Ambulance District during EMS Week. Your support and generosity are greatly appreciated.

This week, agencies across the nation are celebrating EMS Week — a time dedicated to recognizing the men and women who devote their lives to providing emergency medical services to their communities.

While every district, organization, and agency celebrates in its own way, here at PCAD we honor our crews with great food, appreciation, and giveaways made possible by the incredible support of our community. Local businesses, individuals, restaurants, and organizations have generously donated meals and giveaway items for our staff throughout the week.

Pettis County Ambulance District would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to everyone who contributed and helped make EMS Week special for our local heroes. Your generosity and support mean more than words can express.

Throughout the week, we will be recognizing the businesses and community members who helped make this celebration possible.
