🚒 This weekend, the Sedgewickville Fire Protection District was proud to host and participate in Emergency Vehicle Driver Training on August 1st and 2nd.

A total of 15 firefighters took part in this valuable hands-on training, strengthening the knowledge and skills needed to safely operate emergency vehicles while responding to calls and serving our communities.

We were honored to train alongside members from the Leopold Fire Protection District, North Bollinger County Fire Protection District, and Millersville Fire Protection District. Working together helps build stronger partnerships and better prepares us to serve when our communities need us most.

A special thank you to the MU Fire & Rescue Training Institute and the Missouri State Fire Marshal’s Office for providing this outstanding training and for your continued commitment to firefighter education and public safety.

Thank you to Sedgewickville Lutheran Church for the use of the facility on Saturday.

Thank you to Circle U on the lunch order coordination on Saturday.

Thank you Meadow Heights School for the use of the parking lot.

Thank you to Fruitland Fire for the traffic cones.

Great presentation from Gordonville Fire!

Although there are slight differences in how we get and gather the data, SFPD also has behind the scene work and we report direct to NERIS, the State system.

A good reminder that it is not just about what and when you see us that keeps the District(s) going.

‼️Here's this morning's updated forecast for Excessive Rain chances on Friday. The weather is unsettled Friday through Saturday morning, with rounds of showers and thunderstorms. The highest chances (40-70%) occur on Friday and Friday night. There is the potential for localized heavy rainfall that may support a few instances of flash flooding.
▶️Rainfall rates of 1-2 inches/hour could support a few instances of flash flooding where repeated thunderstorms occur over the same areas.
▶️Remain weather aware. Continue to keep forecast updates through Saturday. Have multiple ways to receive alerts.
▶️Never drive onto a flooded road!
