Hi everyone Hank here just wanting to say hello and welcome our newest rescue to Watkins. Look at those eyes so beautiful just looking right at you. I think she is saying thank you for rescuing me. This is a baby who fell out of a tree and the nice people brought her to us. She is healthy just to little to be on her own. So we will care for her until she can be released.

If you want to help with her care to are welcome to make a donation. Just head over to the website and scroll to the bottom where it says donate.

Thanks guys, now go enjoy the day.

You did it!. You donated and we were able to purchase the golf cart. Hard to explain how much this is going to help. Moving animals around in cages, moving food from delivery to storages to the animals. This will allow Carolyn and John to spend more time helping the animals. You did this. You did this with donations with sharing the posts by helping to get the word out. Your likes your comments it all helps.

But don’t worry if you were thinking of donating you still can. We have daily monthly expenses that change each month. We get nothing from the state or federal government, we run 100% on donations. Donations from you. You can even set it up to automatically give a monthly donation since it’s done through PayPal. And if online donations are not for you simply send a check or even get hold of any board member and we can deliver cash or checks for you.

John and Carolyn Watkins’s humbly from their hearts say thank you.

We released this bald eagle in Poplar Bluff yesterday ! He came in with talon issues and could not stand up. We hand fed him until he was able to grip the tree limb and stand on his own. He is completely healed and ready to return to his home in Poplar Bluff. And guess what , you all helped. Your donations helped. Your words of encouragement helped, your sharing our posts helped your comments and likes helped. Let’s keep it up ok.

Also can’t explain how grateful we are to the donations concerning the golf cart. Wow guys you really are the best. People don’t realize we get no state or federal funding; we run 100% on donations and this is needed year round. Thank you all, and happy Mother’s Day.

Hi all Hank here just want to say thank you to all who have donated. We are beside ourselves with the love and generosity you have been showing. You have no idea how much your support helps.

We are still below what we need so if you could continue to share the post. Even if you already did. It really helps us get the word out. We pinned the post so it will stay at the top for now.

Also could Campers Cove contact us, it’s very important. Thanks all and again thank you for helping us help the animals.

Every day at Watkins Wildlife Rehab, hawks, owls, and other birds of prey depend on us for food, safety, and a chance to return to the wild. Today, we need your help to keep that mission moving.

A critical piece of equipment we rely on—a golf cart used to transport food, move animals safely, and access outdoor enclosures—has completely broken down. Without it, even routine care becomes significantly more difficult and time-consuming.

We’ve been given an incredible opportunity to purchase a brand-new golf cart at a deeply discounted price—a generous offer that gets us much closer to a solution. But we still need to raise $6,800 to make it possible.

This isn’t just a convenience. It directly affects how quickly and safely we can care for the animals in our charge.

Right now, our daily costs are already significant. For example, we spend about $1,500 per month feeding birds of prey, and that number will continue to rise as they grow and as new animals arrive. Every dollar we receive is already going toward their care, leaving little room for major equipment needs like this.

That’s why we’re asking for your help.

If you’re able to contribute:

$25 helps feed wildlife for a day
$100 supports critical care and daily operations
Any amount brings us closer to securing this essential equipment

A reliable golf cart will allow us to work more efficiently, reduce stress on the animals, and continue providing the level of care they depend on.

If you’ve ever supported Watkins Wildlife Rehab—or simply care about giving these animals a second chance—please consider donating today.

Thank you for helping us help them.

Click this link it will take you to our website. Then scroll to the bottom and you will see the donation button. Also please share our post so other can get a chance to donate. And remeber no amount is to small. It all adds up. Thank you
