Picking up from a gap of a few years back, we're holding a Game Night at the Sedgwick Library on Wednesday September 17, at 6:30 pm.

The following games will be provided:
Rummikub, Mind, Azul, and Cribbage, and we'll have cards. These are relatively easy to learn and do not take long to play. If you have a favorite board game feel free to bring it along!

The library is open today from 8 - 11am. We'd love to have you stop by and join us for a cup of coffee, conversation on the lawn, and browse our book collection!

We have a large assortment of gardening books suitable for the beginner or experienced gardener, a large selection of books about Maine, including Maine authors, new books in our children and young adult section, and lots of non fiction for your summer reading pleasure.

Journalist and Sedgwick native Levi Bridges will give a presentation of his work documenting the lives of Mexican workers in the US Carnival and Circuses. His investigation won an Overseas Press Club Scholar Award.

It's a gorgeous day for an outdoor concert! Online ticket sales are closing shortly but you can purchase tickets at the door $20 to hear Paul Sullivan in Concert on the library lawn!

The Sedgwick Fire Dept will close down Main St at 4:30ish so come early (please give us until 4pm to set up), carpooling recommended, please be respectful of parking signs and "bring your own chair" !

There will be parking attendants to assist you and if all else fails - the parking lot at the post office is available.

Handicap drop off is available, just ask the fire dept or one of the parking attendants wearing orange vests.

It's going to be a joyous evening in Sedgwick Village!

The library is truly blessed to once again host our neighbor and Grammy Award-winning Pianist and Composer, Paul Sullivan in Concert on the Lawn, Wednesday, August 6th at 5pm!

This annual fundraiser has become Sedgwick village's most anticipated summer time event!

Tickets are available for purchase for $20 here: https://2025paulsullivaninconcert.eventbrite.com

Tickets will also be available at the door but buying your ticket NOW makes it easy for you to speed right through the line to take your seat on concert night - you don't even need to print out your ticket!!

Please bring your own chair, bug spray, favorite beverage and watch for our parking attendants (wearing orange vests) and the fire department volunteers who will help you with drop off and handicap parking and direct you to designated parking in the village area.

If you'd like to donate further and take a chance to win 10lbs of lobster from a local fisherman, bring some cash or use your venmo account to purchase raffle tickets.

If weather is questionable we will have a rain date of Aug 7th - please watch your email, check our page here or you may text board members if in doubt:
