Sedona Fire District 9/11 Memorial

Sedona Fire District 9/11 Memorial Welcome to the page for Sedona Fire District's 9/11 Memorial!! You can learn more about the memorial on this page and our website.

The Sedona Fire District is honored to have received one of the last remaining artifacts from the World Trade Center. This project is designed as a community effort to place this artifact in a prominent location in Sedona for all of us to remember the events of 9/11/2001. The 5½-foot, 3,000-pound piece of steel is believed to be from the 20th floor of one of the towers. It is our goal to fund this

project by private and corporate donations. We are asking for your participation in this historic endeavor.

100% of your generous tax deductible donation will be used to build a beautiful memorial paying tribute to the men, women, and children who lost their lives on that fateful day of September 11, 2001.

We hope to see you there!

As September 10, 2019 comes to a close, we prepare to honor those whose lives were lost or forever changed 18 years ago tomorrow. For many of us, we sat in the fire station(s) watching in disbelief, as a number of our fellow Brother/Sister Firefighters, Police Officers, Port Authority officials and civilians were killed during the attacks on 9/11/2001.

We ask that you please join us and take a moment to remember those that sacrificed everything, trying to make a difference during the events that unfolded that day. We will be honoring these heroes tomorrow morning at Station #6, off of Highway 179 near the Chapel. The ceremony will begin at 08:40 am.

Pictured here, is the permanent 9/11 memorial located at Station #6. Included, as part of this permanent memorial, is an actual piece of steel from Ground Zero.

Thank You
