🚨🚛Bulky Waste Day: 8 months of the year, the Town offers a Bulky Waste Pass Day where residents can purchase a pass for one car/truck load of Bulky Waste (furniture or other household items that are too big to go into your blue bag trash) as an alternative to curbside pickup stickers. Bulky Waste passes and stickers are for items that are broken and/or not usable anymore…not just items you no longer need or want. If an item is still usable, please donate to a local thrift store, or post a free curb alert on local social media. Bulky Waste Day is NOT for regular blue bag trash and is also NOT an alternative for getting a dumpster for projects. Blue bag trash will not be accepted, nor will construction debris, hazardous materials, mattresses/boxsprings, or appliances. Residents should hire commercial dumpster services for construction/deconstruction project, request additional toters for blue bag trash, and/or purchase curbside pickup stickers for these other items as applicable. 🚛🚨

The U.S. turns 250 tomorrow, but did you know that this year is ALSO the 50th anniversary of the first-ever residential recycling truck... which premiered right here in MA? ♻️ Time for a quick history lesson!

According to : MA received the first-ever EPA recycling grants in 1976. The state used the money for weekly multi-material curbside collection programs in two cities, and rolled out the nation's first residential recycling truck.
