Congratulations to John Christopher Kehoe, the Navarro High School Class of 2026 Valedictorian! 🎓🐾 John has exemplified the portrait of a Navarro graduate through his incredible academic discipline, earning a 1410 SAT and a perfect 36 ACT Math score. More than just a powerhouse in UIL Academics with over 100 medals, John has been a dedicated mentor and leader, tutoring his peers and stepping out of his comfort zone in Robotics and Broadcasting. John is headed to UTSA this fall to study Mechanical Engineering. We are so proud of your leadership, integrity, and your reminder to all of us that "success is built off failure." Navarro ISD currently maintains a 60% student ridership rate, exceeding the 40% average for most school districts. The 2026 Bond proposes the purchase of additional buses and a secured parking expansion designed to accommodate a fleet of up to 50 buses. These upgrades support long-term operations as enrollment increases and the district opens Navarro South Elementary School in August 2027.

Additionally, the relocation of the bus parking lot would increase parking capacity for district employees providing additional space for junior high staff and visitors.

Detailed information regarding the transportation proposal can be found here: https://www.navarroisd.us/335704_2
