Applications are due Wednesday, September 30 to join the Selah Fire Department as a paid on call Volunteer Firefighter or Support Services member. We wanted to shout out Nile-Cliffdell Fire & Rescue Dist #14 for hosting a Swiftwater Rescue class along with City of Yakima Fire Department and allowing some of our personnel to join you. It was a fun weekend and they learned a lot. But the journey into swiftwater rescue tech is just beginning. There will be a lot more training for these firefighters in the future.
