Trick-or-Treat
Be sure to bring a bag to collect all your goodies as you make your way through the activities, demonstrations, and crafts. You’ll have plenty of treats and treasures to take home by the end of the night!
Astronomical Observing
We’ll have telescopes set up for you to view incredible celestial objects like planets, galaxies, and nebulae. Our students and faculty will guide you through the night sky and help you explore the wonders of the universe.
Hands-On Activities
Dive into interactive, hands-on activities that let you explore science up close. Here are a few examples of what you can do:
Make your own ice cream and learn about the science that goes into creating this delicious treat.
Learn how craters form on the moon with a hands-on activity that brings planetary science to life.
Experiment with pH levels and discover the chemistry behind different substances.
Live Science Demonstrations
Watch as our students and faculty perform a series of exciting science experiments! These live demonstrations will bring science to life in fun and surprising ways that are sure to amaze and inspire.

Get creative with a variety of science and Halloween-themed crafts that are perfect for all ages. Make something spooky, scientific, or just plain fun to take home!

Don't miss this year's Science After Dark event tomorrow from 5 - 9 PM on the Ammerman Campus in Selden. Hosted by the Ammerman Campus Physical Sciences Department, with support from the Office of Campus Activities and Student Leadership, this FREE, family-friendly, Halloween-themed science event will feature hands-on activities, arts and crafts, experiments, and telescope observing.
