The Seldovia Public Library is excited to host a youth photography exhibit during the Seldovia Summer Solstice Music Festival! Please join us at the library on Friday, June 19 from 3:30-5:00 PM for the opening of this display. You may also view the photos during the library's regular hours on Saturday, June 20 from 2:00-5:00 PM.

The project invited youth in rural Gulf of Alaska communities to document how harvesting, sharing, and preparing wild foods shape their connection to place, culture and community health, while also reflecting on environmental change and the future of these important food traditions.

We were so blessed to have Sam and Eowyn Ivey visit us this week! They are truly lovely humans and just fit right in here in Seldovia. I was planning to write something about their visit, but of course Eowyn did an excellent job with that herself. ❤️

The Seldovia Public Library will be closed on Saturday, May 30 so that our volunteer staff can attend Jim Hopkins’ memorial at Outside Beach. We will deeply miss our nearest neighbor and friend.
