The Selinsgrove Supervised Summer Playground Program is available to all Borough Resident children 1st through 5th grade! Campers whom will be entering 1st grade in the Fall of 2017 and entering 5th grade in the Fall of 2017 are accepted in the program. The playground program is made possible through a grant received by Selinsgrove Borough Parks & Recreation. It's a program run Monday through Frid
ay by responsible, PHEAA eligible college students and a AmeriCorps Supervisor. The program is over seen by the Full- Time Recreation Coordinator hired by the Borough of Selinsgrove. The program will run from June 5, 2017-August 4, 2017 from 8:00am to 4:30pm. This camp has a rolling admission and we are only able to accept 40 campers a day! (First come first serve). All campers have to be at camp by 10am. Lunch is not provided, parents must provide a pack bag lunch for their child. The program is free of charge. Parents will be asked to sign their kids in and out everyday. We are located at the pavilion by the AYSO soccer fields in Selinsgrove right next to Kid's Grove. Because of our location, we have many activities available to us such as soccer, kickball, wiffle ball, dodge ball, volleyball, basketball, four-square, water activities, as well as many arts and crafts for the kids to enjoy. We will have special guest come into visit the campers and take walking trip around the town of Selinsgrove! We will attend the Selinsgrove Community Pool once a week! It's a great way for the kids to be outside and enjoy themselves with things they may have never done before as well as meet new people and create great friendships.
