Full-Time Police Officer - Borough of Selinsgrove – Snyder County, Pennsylvania
The Borough of Selinsgrove (Snyder County), is seeking qualified, motivated individuals to join the Selinsgrove Police Department as a Full-Time Police Officer.

Selinsgrove is a vibrant central Pennsylvania borough with a population of approximately 5,654 and is home to Susquehanna University and the Selinsgrove Area School District. This is an opportunity to serve in a close-knit borough where officers make a direct and meaningful impact while working in a professional, team-oriented environment.

Position Overview

Officers perform a full range of law enforcement duties as assigned by the Chief of Police. The ideal candidate is professional, ethical, self-motivated, and committed to serving the community with integrity. All new hires are subject to a one (1) year probationary period.

Minimum Qualifications

Be at least twenty-one (21) years of age or older at the time of application
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Hold a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
Be Act 120 certified through MPOETC (or equivalent certification)
Selection Process

Candidates must complete:

Written examination
Physical agility test
Oral interview
Comprehensive background investigation
Medical examination, including drug screening
Preference may be given to candidates with a college degree and/or prior law enforcement or military experience; however, such experience is not required.

The representative pictured with Chief Francis Petrovich and Officer Chris Baker is Bob Becker with LAW Publications. He will be in town visiting businesses to get sponsorships for our community SAFETY program.

This program gets awareness information and material in the hands of school aged children and senior citizens to warn them of many risks and dangers involved with drugs and also keep them informed on various other important safety topics.
