Something Great is happening at East Snyder Park. The girls pictured are the first to hold practice on the new App Field, Field 5. The 4 to 8 year olds and youth players of baseball and softball now have their own field.

The field is a work in progress. Benches and shed are in place. In the middle of April the backstop fence, sideline fence and dugout fence will be installed.

We are building a Youth Baseball/Softball see information below.

You can make a difference by donating to https://gofund.me/adca3035 today for East Snyder Regional Recreation Association A 501 c3 not for profit. We have to date raised a portion of the money needed to complete the Youth Baseball/Softball field project. Project Budget of $14,800 is almost met, at this time only $5.800 remains. Please consider a donation for our youth. East Snyder Park in Penn Township, is building a special baseball/softball field with the help of a local contractor donating the grading for the field. This field is for youth ages 4 to 8 years old. This is a tiny version of the existing little league fields at the park with a 100 foot field size. Participants are 370 youngsters and 50 volunteer coaches/parents. Girls and boys hit from a tee, or hit from coach's pitching. At this age they are taught the fundamentals of baseball/softball. EAST SNYDER PARK is where kids and adults can relax and play together.

We accomplished an amazing refresh and cleanup of ESP. 19 SU freshman did a tremendous job on Saturday September 3rd in just a few hours.

Trimmed bushes and trees
Laid new bricks at Everyone's Playground. Found $1.50 under a paver and left it there. Secret
Cleaned bocce ball courts
Watered bushes
Cleaned small picnic area
Put table away
Trimmed the willow tree
Cleaned storage area
Cleaned bird boxes
Cleaned Everyone's Playground inside fence
Blew off play areas and restroom area
Screenings on new ballfield
Trimmed shrubbery around wetland and weeded

Pete, Cookie and Dean. Fred's tractor, our mower and trailer, what a great group of volunteers. They left having pride in what they accomplished.
