At Leadership Southern Indiana, we believe leadership is about using your experiences to make a difference, and the Rasmussen family is doing exactly that.

We are incredibly proud of our Director of Operations, Jesse Rasmussen, and his family for representing Norton Children's Hospital and the state of Kentucky in Washington, D.C., advocating for children's health care alongside families from across the nation.

Their son, Nolan, shared his journey with Type 1 diabetes and the life-changing care he received through Norton Children's Hospital. By courageously sharing their story with lawmakers, the Rasmussen family helped put a face to the importance of pediatric health care and ensured the voices of children and families were heard where important decisions are made.

Nolan's strength, determination, and joyful spirit are inspiring, and we can't wait to watch him continue this journey of advocacy and leadership as he works to "smash diabetes!" 💪💙

Employer Spotlight: Leadership Southern Indiana

This week we're highlighting Leadership Southern Indiana, an organization dedicated to developing leaders and strengthening communities throughout our region.

For more than 40 years, Leadership Southern Indiana has fulfilled its mission to "engage, develop, and mobilize regional leaders who will serve and transform our community." Through programs such as Discover, Elevate, Focus, and NEXGEN, they help individuals build leadership skills and create meaningful connections.

In addition to their leadership programs, Leadership Southern Indiana provides consulting and training services, including company retreat coordination, curated business discussions, DISC assessments, and team relationship-building opportunities.

We're especially proud to note that three of their five staff members are IU graduates.

We appreciate Leadership Southern Indiana's commitment to leadership development and their support of IU alumni in our region.

☀️ As summer begins and we start to see our next NEXGEN class take shape, we're taking a moment to celebrate the incredible students of our NEXGEN Class of 2026!

This spring, these outstanding young leaders completed their NEXGEN journey and are now preparing to enter their senior year of high school. Over the past year, they've explored leadership, built meaningful connections, and gained a deeper understanding of themselves and the communities around them.

It's also exciting to think about our NEXGEN Class of 2025, who have now graduated high school and are beginning the next chapter of their lives in college, careers, and beyond. 🎓✨

Today we're looking back at photos from our NEXGEN Class of 2026 graduation and once again congratulating these exceptional students on all they've accomplished. The future is bright, and we can't wait to see where their leadership journeys take them next!

🏇 What a fantastic day at Churchill Downs! 🏇

Thank you to all of our Legacy Members and guests who joined us for this year's Legacy Club Appreciation Event. It was a wonderful afternoon filled with great conversations, new connections, delicious food, and plenty of fun.

We were proud to sponsor Race 4, the Legacy Race, and even more excited to cheer on our members who enjoyed some betting wins throughout the day! Congratulations to those who were selected for our exclusive Winner's Circle experience and had the opportunity to tour the paddock, watch the race from the Winner's Circle, and help present the trophy to the winning connections.

Mark, Jesse, and Amanda had a wonderful afternoon at the Kosair for Kids Southern Indiana Community Impact Luncheon hosted at Prosser Career Education Center.

Mark was honored to serve as a table host for a table of partners and alumni. While Jesse and Amanda were grateful to join Leadership Southern Indiana alumni Pam Grieb at her table. Thank you, Pam, for having us!

It was great seeing so many alumni, members, and community partners supporting Kosair for Kids and the incredible work they do in our region. Thank you to Prosser for hosting, congratulations to Kosair for Kids on a wonderful event, and shoutout to Ben Peine for being a fantastic emcee.
