Clark County REMC is a locally owned electric cooperative serving members across Southern Indiana. If you receive electric service from the REMC, you are not just a customer. As a cooperative, we are owned by the people we serve, not outside shareholders. That means our focus is on providing reliable electricity, supporting our communities, and delivering value to our members. Through this page, we share updates about outages, safety information, community programs, energy tips, and events happening at the cooperative. This October, November and December, Clark County REMC members can help support local food pantries and community centers while picking up a little something from us, too.

Donate six canned goods or non-perishable food items and receive a FREE 5-gallon REMC bucket and Swedish dishcloth!

Drop off your donation at our office during regular business hours.

One gift per membership, while supplies last.

Let fall weather do some of the work 🍁

Fall temperatures can be all over the place, so give your thermostat a little flexibility!

On cooler days, lower the temperature a few degrees. When warmer weather returns, adjust it back or give your heating and cooling system a break altogether.

This October, unplug devices you don’t use regularly or use a smart power strip to help keep wasted energy in check.

They may look simple, but guy wires have an important job. ⚡

These tensioned cables help keep utility poles stable against the constant pull of power lines. Because they’re under high tension, they should never be climbed on, tampered with or used to hang signs, decorations or other items.

🚜 Use extra care when mowing or working near guy wires, and remind kids to keep their distance.
