The NARFE Jeffersonville Chapter 381 meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 1:00 p.m. Once a year we go to Madison for a meeting, usually in July, but we are just in the planning stage for the 2017 Madison meeting. All current or retired federal employees are welcome at our meetings. We had a informative meeting on April 11th. Jennifer Abbott, Director of Marketing for the Southern Indiana, Clark-Floyd Counties Convention and Tourism Board was our speaker. Jennifer gave everyone a book about Indiana Tourism, and she discussed places in the area that may be of interest. She also played a BINGO game where winners received nice bags. Such fun. The meeting was interactive and fun.

This is the Indiana Bicentennial Medal. There will be a NARFE - PAC booth/table at the Indiana Convention in Muncie April 25th and 26th. There are two coins in a nice box that will be raffled and a beautiful Bicentennial Book. There will be two winners, one for the book and one for the medals. All you have to do is donate to NARFE-PAC.

Whatcha Doin' on Valentine's Day????

How about joining your NARFE Chapter 381 for a meeting!
During our meeting and because it is Valentine's Day, Marilyn Sink with Purdue Extension will present an adult program on the History of Chocolate. Learn everything you ever wanted to know about chocolate just in time for Valentine’s Day. We’ll talk about the history, the different types, possible health benefits, and more. The best part — there will be a chocolate tasting.

Reminder: 2:00 Wednesday, August 24, 2016, New Albany-Floyd County Library. Jeffersonville Chapter 381 will hold our monthly meeting in conjunction with New Albany Chapter 1777. Note the difference in the date and time.

This will be a Congressional Forum with speakers from Congressional Districts 9 and 6. The speakers will answer questions about issues affecting federal employees and retirees.
Plan to attend.
