For those that have damage from the flooding.

**FLOOD DAMAGE ASSESSMENT CREWS BEGINNING AS SOON AS TUESDAY**

Beginning as soon as Tuesday, official damage assessment crews will be working throughout Delaware County and the City of Muncie to document damage resulting from the recent flooding.

Crews will be traveling through affected neighborhoods and areas to assess and document visible damage to homes, businesses, infrastructure, and other property.

**What residents should know:**

* Assessment crews **will NOT enter your home, business, or other structures.**
* Crews may approach your property to observe and document exterior damage.
* A crew member may ask you a few brief questions about flooding or damage to your property.
* You are **not required to allow anyone inside your home** as part of this assessment.
* These assessments are being conducted to help determine the overall extent and severity of damage throughout the community and support ongoing disaster recovery efforts.

Please use caution when driving through areas where assessment teams are working and, when possible, assist crews by providing information about damage that may not be visible from outside.

We appreciate the community's cooperation as we work to document the full impact of this historic flooding and move forward with recovery.

ATTENTION FROM THE LIBERTY REGIONAL WASTE DISTRICT

URGENT SEWER CONSERVATION NOTICE
Due to flooding and excessive rainfall, the sanitary sewer system is experiencing unusually high flows. Until further notice, all residents and businesses are asked to:

Delay laundry and dishwasher use.
Take only brief showers and avoid filling bathtubs.
Flush toilets only when necessary.
Postpone unnecessary cleaning or other high-water activities.
Make sure sump pumps, roof drains and downspouts are not connected to the sanitary sewer.
Do not open sewer manholes or attempt to drain floodwater into the sewer.

These measures will help prevent sewer backups, overflows and damage to the wastewater-treatment system. Immediately report sewage backups or overflowing manholes to [phone number]. This notice remains in effect until the utility announces that normal water use may resume.

For nursing facilities and similar essential operations, the notice should say that resident care, hygiene, infection control, food service and fire-safety needs continue, while nonessential water use should be postponed.
