The McNairy County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for one certified full-time Patrol Deputy position.

Minimum Requirements:
✔️ U.S. Citizen
✔️ At least 18 years of age
✔️ High school diploma or GED
✔️ No felony convictions or convictions involving violence, dishonesty, or illegal drugs
✔️ Honorable discharge from military service (if applicable)
✔️ Ability to successfully pass physical and psychological examinations

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The McNairy County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of scam callers claiming to be law enforcement officials and telling citizens they have failed to report for Grand Jury or Jury Duty and must make an immediate payment to avoid arrest.

These callers may use spoofed phone numbers and may even know personal information such as previous addresses. They often demand payment by gift cards, electronic transfer, or other immediate methods.

Please remember:

🔹 The Sheriff’s Office will never call and demand money over the phone.
🔹 You will never be instructed to make a payment to avoid arrest.
🔹 Phone numbers can be spoofed, so do not trust a caller simply because the number appears local.
🔹 If you receive one of these calls, hang up and do not provide any personal or financial information.

The McNairy County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that all certified deputies have now been issued Zoll AED Plus devices to carry in their patrol vehicles while serving the citizens of McNairy County.

These AEDs provide deputies with the ability to quickly respond during medical emergencies and deliver lifesaving care when every second counts. By equipping our deputies with this technology, we are continuing our commitment to improving public safety and enhancing emergency response throughout the county.

We would like to thank the McNairy County Fire Department, the McNairy County Commission, and all those involved in helping make this initiative possible. Partnerships such as these help strengthen the services provided to the citizens of McNairy County each and every day.

These units were purchased with non taxpayer funding.

The McNairy County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank everyone who attended the Tennessee Law Enforcement Memorial Service yesterday.

Your support and presence helped honor the 8 officers added to the memorial this year and showed continued respect for all law enforcement officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their communities.

We appreciate everyone who came out to remember and honor these heroes.

🚨 SCAM ALERT 🚨

The McNairy County Sheriff’s Office has been made aware of another phone scam circulating in our area.

Citizens are receiving calls from someone claiming to be with a Sheriff’s Office or federal agency stating there is a warrant for their arrest. The caller may use names of law enforcement officers, reference fake court documents, and instruct victims to purchase Green Dot cards, gift cards, or send money in order to avoid arrest or be released from jail.

⚠️ THIS IS A SCAM. ⚠️

Law enforcement agencies will NEVER:
• Demand payment over the phone
• Request gift cards, Green Dot cards, Cash App, Venmo, or cryptocurrency
• Allow someone to “pay” to avoid arrest
• Threaten immediate arrest unless payment is made

Scammers often spoof phone numbers to make it appear the call is coming from a legitimate agency.

If you receive one of these calls:
✅ Hang up immediately
✅ Do not send money or provide personal information
✅ Do not share banking information
✅ Contact your local law enforcement agency directly using an official phone number
