McNairy County Carl Perkins Center

Our mission is to provide support to families in preventing and dealing with child abuse in West Tennessee.

Volunteers are a vital part of Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse and aid in the center being cost effective. The team of volunteers actively assist the Center in all of its operations. No matter what your age, your abilities or the amount of time you have to give; if you have a heart for helping children, the Center could use you. A few hours a week or a month can make a life-long impact on the life of a child and his or her family.

Monday's Myth: Children lie about abuse all the time.

The fact is, it’s rare for a child to lie about being abused. Less than 5% of child abuse cases are proven to be false.

Children don’t usually use the words an adult would when reporting abuse. They may be ashamed, confused, overwhelmed, or scared. As adults, our job is not to judge a child’s story. Our job is to listen and to keep children safe.

✨ WOW… what an incredible night! ✨

Our Family Feud Dinner & Auction was an absolute SUCCESS, and it’s all because of this amazing community. We are truly overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, support, and generosity shown.

From the moment the doors opened, the room was filled with laughter, energy, and people coming together for a cause that means so much, protecting and supporting the children and families we serve. Nathan Applegate opened the night with his special song and did a phenomenal job that meant so much to us! 💙🎪

🎡To every single person who attended, purchased a ticket, sponsored a table, donated an item, or simply helped spread the word, THANK YOU. You showed up, you gave, and you made a difference.

🤹🏼‍♀️To our sponsors, your generosity does not go unnoticed. Because of you, we are able to continue providing vital, free services to children and families impacted by abuse right here in our community.

🎪To our teams who brought the FUN to Family Feud, you made the night unforgettable. You were the guinea pigs this year and rocked it! The laughs, the friendly competition, and the memories made are something we will cherish for a long time.

🎤We have to give a HUGE shoutout to Drew Wheeler, who was hands down the best “Steve Harvey” and kept the fun going all night long. He truly made the experience come to life for everyone in the room.

🎢And a big thank you to Jacey Ross for serving as our auctioneer for the night. She was beyond impressive and brought such energy and confidence. Total girl power and we loved every second of it.

🎠There might have been a few technical difficulties here and there, but the night never missed a beat. The energy stayed high, the laughter never stopped, and we could not be more proud of how everything came together.

💙To our community, thank you for believing in our mission. Events like this are what help keep our doors open and allow us to continue being a place of hope, healing, and advocacy.💙
