A big dream for education freedom in Mississippi.

Meet Tatum, a Mississippi homeschool student using her voice to speak up for families like hers. Today, she sat down to write a letter to President Trump asking for help expanding education freedom and opportunities for students across our state.

This is what the movement is really about: empowering parents, supporting students, and making sure every child has the opportunity to learn in the environment where they thrive best.

Mississippi families are ready.
Students are ready.
Now it’s time for Mississippi leaders to be ready too.

A dear friend of mine, an incredible STEM teacher in the Mississippi Delta, has made it to the quarterfinal round of America’s Favorite Teacher, and she is SO deserving of this moment.

She pours her heart into her students every single day. Creative, dedicated, and the kind of teacher who truly changes lives. She’s impacted my own family in the best way, and so many others could say the same.

Right now, she’s sitting in 3rd place, and we have until Thursday at 7 PM to help move her into 1st place so she can advance to the semifinals.

The last 2 months I have made my way through a few rounds of the competition and I've made it to the Quarter-Finals round!

April is Autism Awareness Month 💙

I recently had the opportunity to visit Harbor Day School, a special purpose school that is doing truly incredible work for students with autism and other learning differences. What I saw there was more than just education. It was individualized support, intentional teaching, and a community built around helping every child thrive.

This is what school choice is.

It’s about making sure families have access to environments where their children are understood, supported, and given the tools to succeed. One size does not fit all, and it shouldn’t have to.

This month is also deeply personal for me as we celebrate my niece, Mary Michael, who has autism. She is joyful, strong, and a constant reminder of why this work matters so much.

Every child deserves the chance to learn in a place that sees them, meets them where they are, and helps them grow.

Let’s continue to advocate for options that support ALL families. 💙

Had a great conversation on the 🎙️ Moms on a Mission podcast all about the education freedom tax credit and what it means for states like Mississippi.

Here’s the truth…
This is about EVERY child.

Public school, private school… it doesn’t matter.
This gives families access to things like tutoring, services, and support their kids may not otherwise get.

I’ve seen it firsthand… kids who needed help and simply couldn’t access it. That shouldn’t be the reality.

This is a game changer for families across our state.
