Throughout the year, we host fundraisers such as our Pancake Breakfast, Fishing Tournament, and other events to help raise funds for our department. These fundraisers help us equip our firefighters with the necessary gear and equipment needed to safely answer the call when our community needs us most.
While there are grants available to help fire departments, they are never guaranteed. Departments from across the state and nation compete for the same funding opportunities, making local community support more important than ever.
Every donation, fundraiser participation, and act of support helps offset the high costs required to operate an effective and prepared fire department. The graphic below is just one example of what it costs to properly equip a single firefighter with the essential protective equipment needed to do the job safely. That does not include the cost of fire apparatus, tools, maintenance, training, and many other expenses required to keep our department operational and ready to serve.
Once again, thank you for your continued support of the Strother Fire Department. We are proud to serve and protect our community every day.

Road closed on 99a in front of the station due to a power pole breaking. OGE is out there now repairing the pole. The road should be opened back up shortly.
