🙏Serving with compassion
🤝Honoring the Dignity of Every Life

For centuries, the Ministries of Mercy have been integral to the life of the Catholic Church following Jesus' example of reaching out to the needy, poor, suffering, and marginalized. As a member of the Church and through the Ministries of Mercy, "Life and Shelter," Catholic Charities Foundations of Life, Friends in Need and Shelters of Hope programs are responding to God's call in Matthew 25, "We are Called To Be The Hands of Jesus."

Showing up, serving others, and making a difference.

We’re so grateful for the incredible team at Pioneer Medical for continuing to show up for our Tampa Hope clients with compassion, kindness, and care. Their team comes alongside our shelter community often, helping us creating meaningful connections and making sure our clients feel supported. 🫶

Thank you for being a consistent part of the Tampa Hope community and for reminding our clients that they are never alone. 💜

Meet Sarah! As the Assistant Director of our Pathways Program, Sarah plays an important role in helping individuals experiencing instability find support and a path forward.

Here she shares more about the heart behind Pathways, the importance of walking alongside those in need as they work toward independence, and what it means to create meaningful pathways to a brighter future. ✨

Still not over this one. 💜🚲✨

Throwing it back to a day that was filled with so much joy, gratitude, community and HOPE as we celebrated the 3,000th bicycle donated to a Tampa Hope resident through Bikes from the Heart.

Three thousand bikes. Three thousand opportunities for greater independence, access, connection and a little more freedom to move forward.

What makes this milestone so special is knowing that every bike represents a person, a story and a new possibility. What started as a ministry in 2023 has grown into something truly extraordinary — and we are so grateful to the incredible community partners who continue to make this impact possible.

From the 5K ride and the blessing of the bikes to the inspiring words shared that day, it was a beautiful reminder that sometimes something as simple as a bicycle can help someone take their next step toward stability. 💜

We are proud to stand alongside Catholic Charities of Colorado and Catholic Charities USA in their disaster relief efforts by sending our Tampa Hope staff member, Jordan, to support their community during this difficult time.

Over the past couple of weeks, Jordan and many others have come together to collect donations, help with cleanup efforts, and provide support to those impacted by the devastating wildfires.

Not long ago, we experienced firsthand the overwhelming support of our Catholic Charities family as they stood beside us in the fight to rebuild after Hurricanes Helene and Milton devastated our communities in 2024.

Now, having the opportunity to extend that same compassion, support, and sense of community to others is a true honor.

This is what it means to be a family — showing up for one another when it matters most. 💜

We interrupt our usual Flashback Friday programming for a very special announcement… 💜🩵

Jim, our amazing CFO of 25 years, is officially RETIRED!🎉

It’s been a week full of celebration, a few bittersweet moments, and, most importantly, the very best memories shared from Jim’s incredible time with Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg.

Jim has left behind a true legacy — not only through his knowledge, leadership, and dedication, but through the countless lives he has impacted along the way. And while we’re so sad to see him go, we’re even more excited for this next chapter… a well-deserved mountain home and plenty of time to enjoy it!

Jim, we are so grateful for the 25 years you spent dedicating your life to God’s work and helping our organization grow, evolve, and take on new life … all while making sure we didn’t go broke doing it! 😂

From our entire organization, our community, and every individual whose life you’ve touched: you will never be forgotten, and you are already so incredibly missed.

Congratulations on your retirement, Jim! You’ve certainly earned it.

Once a part of the CCDOSP family, always a part of the family.❤️

Backpacks may be what you see, but the impact goes far beyond what’s inside. 🎒💜

A huge thank you to the Tampa Bay Rowdies, for helping make back-to-school a little brighter for the children we serve. Your generous donation of backpacks filled with school supplies gives our kids more than the tools they need for a new school year- it reminds them that their community is behind them.

We’re grateful for partners who continue to show up year after year, and for new partnerships that support our the children we serve. 🩵

Thank you, Rowdies, for now being part of their journey. ⚽️📚

A meaningful visit at Pinellas Hope! 💜🩵

We were honored to welcome Bishop Ambrose from India for a tour of our shelter alongside our CEO & President, Maggie Rogers. His visit provided an opportunity to learn more about the work happening at Pinellas Hope and the wraparound services we provide to support individuals on their journey toward stability and a brighter future.

With thoughtful questions, meaningful conversation, and a shared interest in serving our communities, we’re grateful for the opportunity to share what makes Pinellas Hope so special.
