This is one of the best 'Reads of the Week'! From the author of 'The Help', it's a story set in the early 1930's, full of memorable characters, dry wit, sadness and happiness. You can download the audio or check out the book. Both copies at the libraries are currently checked out, so put your hold on the next available!

The Gaines County Library in Seminole has partnered with the Seminole High School Art Department to start a new tradition. Each year, seniors will create a piece based on a book of their choosing, using a ceiling tile as their canvas, to be displayed at the library. The following tiles were created by the 2026 graduating art students. Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Autry, and your very talented students. We look forward to adding to the collection for years to come! The next time you are in the Seminole Library, be sure to look up!
