Did you know that the only way to recycle Styrofoam is to drop it in the Styrofoam Recycling Bin at Publix. Styrofoam CANNOT Go In Your Curbside Recycling Cart. Publix Styrofoam Recycling Bins accepts clean/dry Foam Egg Cartons, Foam Take-Out Trays and Foam Cups. They Do Not accept foam blocks used in packaging or packing peanuts.

The next citywide street sweeping will take place from August 24 - August 26.
Street sweeping keeps our neighborhoods clean and prevents water pollution by removing debris from gutters. Help do your part by making sure that trash cans, portable basketball hoops and vehicles are removed from the roadway.

Just a reminder that trash can lids can float into stormwater structures during heavy rains. Items like this can block stormwater pipes and cause localized flooding. Waste Pro provided Trash and Recycling Carts with Attached Lids to all Seminole residences. Please make sure to only place these carts at the curb. If one trash cart is not enough for your household, please contact Waste Pro at (727) 452-5278 to purchase an additional cart.

The Next Citywide Street Sweeping is Scheduled to Begin on Monday, July 20.
Please make sure that cars are not parked in the roadway and trash and recycling containers are not placed in the gutter or road.
Did you know that regular street sweeping reduces the amount of pollutants that get washed into storm drains and ultimately discharge into our waterways. 🐬

Did you know that Waste Pro provides (4) curbside bulk pickups per year free of charge for City of Seminole residents. Bulk pickup items include mattresses, box springs or furniture. This video shows how putting the wrong items in your recycling cart can bring the machinery at the Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) to a standstill. Placing items like plastic grocery bags, plastic film, inflated shipping air pillows and other soft plastics will cause unnecessary work on the MRF personnel. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with what can go in your recycling cart.

SWFWMD has extended water restrictions through October 1.
Residents using potable, well or lake water may only water lawns once a week. Residents irrigating with reclaim water may water lawns twice a week.
