In rural EMS, it takes a team — and tonight was a perfect example of that. ❤️🚑🚒🚁

Rural emergency services face a unique challenge. We are often called to complex scenes with limited resources, and we are miles away from Level I and Level II trauma centers. When a major incident happens, we depend on one another — and tonight, our mutual aid system worked exactly the way it is supposed to.
After being dispatched to a major incident this evening, Seminole EMS actually had more staff available than we had ambulances! That may sound like a problem, but we see it as a pretty good one to have. It speaks volumes about the dedication of our local staff and volunteers who showed up ready to serve when their community needed them.
Denver City EMS responded to the scene and assisted with transporting patients.
Seagraves-Loop EMS came into Seminole and covered our community’s 911 calls while our crews were committed to the incident.
Seminole Volunteer Fire Department worked alongside us on scene, and AeroCare 4 & 5 provided the critical air medical resources needed to help get patients to the appropriate level of care.
Incidents of this magnitude are thankfully not something we experience often, but when they happen, there is no better feeling than seeing agencies from across our area come together with one goal: taking care of our patients and our communities.
Tonight was truly a team effort, and we could not be more thankful for our mutual aid partners.
