What an incredible night !

Our 2026 National Night Out was an overwhelming success, and it was made possible because of each of you! The citizens of Semmes came out in droves to support the Semmes Police Department, Semmes Fire Rescue, and members of the Mobile County Sheriff's Office. The positive interactions between our officers and the community showcased exactly who we are—a department committed not only to protecting our citizens, but also to building trust and lasting relationships.

Correction on this law.....

This passed the house, but did not get to the senate before the bill died. This law will not be in effect October 1.

The Semmes Police Department is aware of the off-duty arrest of one of our police officers for allegedly operating a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol. We hold all members of this department to the highest standards of conduct, both on and off duty. This matter is being taken seriously and will be addressed through the appropriate legal and internal administrative processes. As the case is currently under investigation, we will not comment further at this time. We remain committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of the community we serve.

Public announcement:

The Semmes Police Department and Semmes Fire-Rescue Department will conduct a Mass Casualty drill tomorrow at MGM. The drill will start around 10 AM.

There will be a large presence of Police and Fire personnel along with many volunteers assisting with the drill.
