With 17+ years of teaching and impacting lives, including 12+ years in Colombia and 5+ years in the United States, Ms. Suarez has made it her mission to help students grow, believe in themselves, and experience the joy of learning. 💙💛

✨🎟️ FROM FIRST-YEAR TEACHER TO WOODLAND’S VIP RED CARPET 🎟️✨

Ms. Pryor may be new to the profession, but you would never know it by the confidence, heart, and skill she brings into the classroom every single day. 💙

Walking onto Woodland’s red carpet as “Students’ Biggest Cheerleader,” Ms. Pryor has quickly become known for building strong relationships, creating a welcoming classroom environment, and helping students believe in themselves from day one. Though this is only her first year as both an educator and a member of the Woodland family, she already operates with the poise, organization, and instructional capacity of a veteran teacher.

Ms. Pryor proudly embraces the role of 🎟️ The VIP Host (a.k.a. The Relationship Builder) — the educator who makes every student feel seen, valued, supported, and celebrated. Her classroom is filled with positivity, encouragement, and meaningful connections that help students thrive both academically and emotionally.

🎊 And while she may be early in her career, her confetti moments are already shining bright:

⭐ Posting some of the highest mClass growth metrics in the entire school despite joining Woodland midyear

Teacher Appreciation Week was one big celebration at Woodland, because our educators are truly ! 🎉🍎

Throughout the week, we wanted to make sure our staff felt appreciated through energy, music, fun, and of course… plenty of food!

We kicked the week off with a schoolwide fiesta during our Books on Break Day, complete with a taco bar sponsored by the Semora Ruritan Club. 🌮📚

Day two started with coffee from Wildflower Cafe and donuts from NC Jelly, generously provided by our PTA and administration. ☕🍩

Midweek, Lamberth Memorial Baptist Church helped our educators recharge with a refreshing fruit bar. 🍓🍍

On day four, Woodland families treated our staff to a variety of delicious desserts for a well-deserved sweet treat. 🧁🍪

We wrapped up the week with a PTA-sponsored Chick-fil-A catered lunch before Mr. Johnson surprised teachers with a 30-second classroom celebration complete with music and dancing! 🎶✨

To close out an unforgettable week, our educators were celebrated with a parade and carline party filled with love and appreciation.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. We hope this celebration showed our educators just how valued, appreciated, and celebrated they truly are! ❤️

Ms. Segura may describe herself as elegant and classic, but around Woodland, she’s also known as resilient, empowering, and unstoppable. 💙

Walking onto the red carpet to “Unstoppable” by Sia, Ms. Segura represents exactly what the song stands for — perseverance, confidence, and strength through every challenge. After moving to a new country and beginning her journey with the Woodland family, she has continued to inspire students and staff alike with her heart, dedication, and determination to help every child succeed.

As part of Woodland’s Dual Language team, Ms. Segura brings the perfect blend of high expectations, compassion, and flexibility to her classroom.

She describes herself as a mix of 🎧 The DJ(Differentiation Specialist), 🛟 The Lifeguard(Classroom Culture Builder), and 🛠️ The Fixer(Problem Solver) — constantly reading the room, adjusting instruction, supporting students emotionally, and finding solutions to help every learner grow.

🎊 Her confetti moments at Woodland have been nothing short of incredible:�⭐ Exceeded reading growth during her first year with Ms. Brooks�⭐ Strong student performance on the AAPPL and STAMP Spanish assessments�⭐ Consistent growth in reading and math�⭐ Being named Outstanding Young Educator this year�⭐ And most importantly, building meaningful relationships and impact throughout her Woodland journey

🪩 Every VIP needs a hype crew, and Ms. Segura gave a heartfelt shoutout to Ms. Brooks, Ms. Wyant, and the entire Dual Language team for supporting, encouraging, and helping her grow. She especially shared gratitude for Ms. Wyant, who welcomed her with open arms and helped guide her through second grade during her transition to Woodland.
Ms. Segura’s story is one of courage, growth, teamwork, and heart — and Woodland is incredibly lucky to have her lighting up our red carpet every single day. ✨

When the lights come on and the red carpet rolls out, you can count on Mrs. Brooks to already have every detail handled behind the scenes. From Veterans Day programs to Books on Break, AR celebrations, Battle of the Books, and Field Day fun, she’s the reason so many Woodland moments feel seamless, meaningful, and unforgettable. 💙

🎶 Walking onto the scene to “Life is a Highway” by Rascal Flatts, Mrs. Brooks brings the perfect mix of direction, structure, and fun. Her classroom and leadership style are proof that learning can be exciting while still staying focused and intentional.
