Fall seeded acreage reporting is underway throughout the country. The annual reporting date has already passed for some crops, but you still have time to complete this critical operation. The Farm Service Agency is waiving late-filing fees and procedures for crops with annual reporting dates between October 1, 2025 through January 31, 2026 if they are reported before February 2, 2026.

Additionally, FSA is allowing producers to submit prevent plant requests through February 2, 2026 for any crop with a final planting date between October 1, 2025 and January 2, 2026, for which the standard 15-day prevent plant deadline has passed.

Please contact your local office to schedule your appointment today!

🐻 Smokey Bear says: Your Car Can Start a Wildfire! 🔥

We all know the basics of campfire safety, but did you know your vehicle can be a major fire hazard? Smokey Bear is reminding us that car maintenance is wildfire prevention!

Please take a moment to check these items before you hit the road:
⛽ Check Your Tire Pressure: Low pressure increases friction and heat, which can lead to blowouts and spark a fire.
🔗 Secure All Chains: Never let chains (like those from a trailer or hitch) drag on the pavement—the sparks they create can easily ignite dry roadside vegetation.
🛑 Maintain Your Brakes: Worn-out brake pads can generate intense heat and even create sparks. Don't let them get too thin!
🚫 Avoid Dry Grass: Never park your vehicle on tall, dry grass or brush. The heat from your catalytic converter or exhaust system is more than enough to start a major fire.

Let's all do our part to keep our roadsides and forests safe. Only you can prevent wildfires!

🎄🐱 Holiday Warning from TVEPA: Your decorations are beautiful… but your cat thinks they’re toys, enemies, and new climbing gyms all in one. 😼💨

💡 Pro Tip: Use LED lights, secure all cords, and keep breakables out of paw’s reach. Stay safe, keep the tree upright, and understand your cat will be naughty—just not mass destruction naughty!
