🌱 BEST TIMES TO PLANT IN NEW YORK STATE 🌱
As the soil begins to awaken, timing your planting can make all the difference for a healthy, abundant garden. Pairing your plants with nutrient-rich vermicompost and living worm castings gives roots the biological boost they love!
Here’s a simple New York planting guide:
🌼 Early Spring (April–May) Best for cool-weather crops: • Lettuce
• Spinach
• Kale
• Peas
• Radishes
• Broccoli
These crops thrive in cooler soil and love a top dressing of vermicompost.
☀️ Late Spring to Early Summer (after last frost — usually mid-May in much of NY) Best for warm-weather plants: • Tomatoes
• Peppers
• Cucumbers
• Squash
• Beans
• Basil
This is the perfect time to mix worm castings into planting holes and garden beds for stronger roots and healthier growth.
🌻 Summer Planting (July–August) You can still plant: • Carrots
• Beets
• Green beans
• Fall lettuce
• Spinach for autumn harvests
