Rain chances increase late Wednesday evening, becoming more likely on Thursday. Occasional thunderstorms are possible through Saturday, however widespread severe weather is low.

Alright folks, now that things have finally calmed down and I'm heading home, I can give a little update.

Earlier this evening, a tornado touched down approximately 5 miles northwest of Sabetha. It struck a few farms before moving into Richardson County, Nebraska. Luckily, no injuries or fatalities were reported.

We definitely dodged a big one today as it could have been much much worse. In the next few days, the National Weather Service out of Topeka should be up here to conduct a survey of the tornado damage and also possible straight-line wind damage around Goff.

Have a great and restful night!
