STEP Foundation Match Day is tomorrow and this is your reminder that you can donate to the Seneca Fire Department fund to help us with improvements to our Truck 4.

Truck 4 is our "Everything Truck". Not only does this truck work great for wildfires but it is utilized as a crew truck for every single call we are dispatched too. Whether that be a structure fire, vehicle accident, or a mutual aid call out of our district. This truck needs to stay in top shape for whatever the need may be.

We appreciate the Nemaha County STEP Foundation for all they do for our community and thank you to everyone who donates!

At tonight’s meeting, Tom Haug announced his retirement from the Seneca Fire Department. Tom volunteered for almost 23 years with 3 of them as our Chief. We can’t thank Tom enough for his leadership and time. Congratulations on your retirement and thank you for your service!

When he saw someone in need, he didn't hesitate to provide life-saving assistance, exemplifying the difference one person can make. We are pleased to announce that Travis Emmons has been elected as the new chief of the department. Tom Haug has completed his 3 year term and we want to thank him for his dedicated leadership.

The Seneca Fire Department will be hosting a Free Will Donation Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, Feb 1st. This event will take place at the Saints Peter and Paul School from 7AM to 12:30PM. All proceeds will go towards efforts to maintain our historic 1922 Stutz Fire Truck. Pancakes, biscuits & gravy, eggs, and sausage will be served. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Nashville is coming to Nemaha tonight! We can’t wait to ring in the new year with everyone. Blaine Bunting Band playing from 9-1am at the Knights of Columbus building here in Seneca. Admission is free will offering or tickets you’ve already purchased. BYOB
